Intuit: You rock my socks

intuit-logo1Intuit, the company behind Quicken and TurboTax (but not Quicken Loans – (see the Quicken Loans blog) just saved me tons of money. If you’re a low-income earner, such as a student, I highly recommend Turbo Tax Online Free Edition. It’s super easy to use and free for federal (~$25 for state filing).

Online money management

Intuit also has a great online money management app, called Quicken Online. It helps manage all your banking accounts in one place, avoid late fees, check balances from a mobile phone, which ultimately helps you save more money. I’ve been using Mint for awhile now, but am switching to QO.

Quizzle

Also, I recommend checking out Quizzle from Quicken Loans. Quizzle gives it’s users a free credit report (including score) without requiring a social security or credit card number. From the site: “Quizzle is the only place that gives you a simple understanding of your home and your money, all in one spot”
